Lexi, the FasterLingo AI English tutor, leaning out of a computer screen with an American and a British flag

Hear real lessons — unscripted, recorded as they happened

You know the grammar. So why does your mind go blank?

It's called the fluency wall — and no amount of extra studying gets you over it.

  • 😶You freeze the moment it's real. You rehearsed the sentence in your head, the moment came, and nothing came out.
  • 💸A private teacher costs €40+ an hour. Nobody can afford that for casual conversation practice, several times a week.
  • 🙊You're afraid of looking stupid. Stuttering in front of a real person is uncomfortable — so you avoid speaking, and stay stuck.
  • 🥱Apps let you tap, not talk. You can finish a 400-day streak and still not survive one phone call in English.
How much do you actually speak in one hour?
In a group class of ten 3 min
With a textbook or a tapping app 0 min
With FasterLingo 60 min

€0.125 a minute with Lexi — against €0.67 a minute for a teacher at €40 an hour.

Everything a class can't give you

Five things that make speaking finally click.

🗣

100% speaking time

No waiting for your turn, no ten classmates ahead of you. In ten minutes here you'll say more English than in a whole month of tapping through an app.

💬

Your topics, not a textbook's

Talk about your job, this weekend's race, your holiday, or tomorrow's interview. You learn far faster when the subject actually interests you.

👁

See every word as you hear it

Live captions for both sides of the conversation. You link sound to spelling instantly, and you never lose the thread — a huge relief for beginners.

🎛

0% judgment, 100% control

Want every mistake corrected? Switch it on. Prefer an uninterrupted, natural conversation? Switch it off. You decide, with one tap, at any moment.

🎭

Role-plays that actually sting

Sit the job interview. Complain about the soup. Ask for a raise. Fire someone, nicely. Lexi plays the other side — and pushes back.

🚫

The anti-subscription method

No monthly billing, no card on file, no "I forgot to cancel". You buy credit like an old-school phone card and talk until it's gone. Leftover credit keeps.

How to use this as a beginner

Hearing a sentence once, with no time to read what it meant, teaches almost nothing. So beginner mode gives every line as long as you need — and the clock is not running while you take it.

  1. Lexi asks one question, and the lesson stops by itself. The line stays on screen, with the pronunciation and the translation under it if you switched those on. Read it as often as you like, and press Hear it again as often as you like too — that is your own machine playing it back, not a new recording.
  2. Say it out loud. Nothing is listening. The microphone is closed during the break. Get it wrong five times in a row: nobody hears it, nothing is corrected, nothing is charged.
  3. Then have her ask it again — and answer for real. Same question, same words, out loud, with the meaning now understood. That is the repetition that sticks, and it is the only one of the three steps that costs anything.

You pay for talking, not for reading. The meter stops the moment she does and starts again when you answer. Playing a line back costs nothing, and a sentence is translated once and never twice. An hour at your desk is often twenty-five minutes of credit — cheaper by the hour than talking flat out, and you learn more from it.

Afterwards you keep the whole lesson as a PDF, and a practice tape: her questions with room to answer after each one, to drill with in the car.

Switch these on and every line appears three times: as Lexi said it, then how it is pronounced — spelled the way your language writes those sounds — and then what it means.

Lexi always speaks English. This only adds a translation under every line, for when a sentence goes past you.

Uses your microphone. One lesson at a time per code.

Before you ask

Do I need an account?

No. You pay, your code appears on screen and in your email, and you start talking. We never ask for a password and we don't keep your card.

What if I have to stop halfway through?

Just close the tab. You only pay for the seconds you actually spoke — the rest of your credit stays on the code until you come back.

My English is really bad. Is this too early for me?

That's exactly who live captions are for. You see every word while you hear it, Lexi adapts to your level, and you can ask her to slow down mid-sentence.

Will it understand my accent?

Almost certainly — the speech model is built for non-native speakers. That's what the €2.40 code is for: find out for the price of a coffee.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet or computer. Nothing to install — it just needs permission to use your microphone.

Can I give a code to someone else?

Yes. A code isn't tied to a person, so it makes a genuinely useful gift.
